Japan GAA

The Japan GAA is a non-profit, volunteer organisation founded in the Mid-90s devoted to promoting international friendship and understanding, primarily through particiapation in Gaelic Sports and Irish Culture, in Japan and throughout Asia.

What is Gaelic Football?

Gaelic football, more commonly referred to as GAA (gah), is one of a number of Irish national sports under the administration of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), headquarterd in Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland.

In the past 15 years, it's growth around Asia has been outstanding, and the annual Asian Gaelic Games attract in the region of 1,000 players, spectators and supporters.

In Japan, we are based predominantly in Tokyo, but are seeking to expand further across the country, and ultimately set up a Japan wide league. This will all be taking place due to the support of Toyoko Inn hotels, who are seeking to have all their staff participate in a Japan-wide league.
